International Primary School Almere admits pupils from 4 years of age to 11 years of age. At the age of 11 the children can transfer to the International Secondary school Almere (ISA in Almere), the International Secondary Schools in Amsterdam or Hilversum.
As the pupils come from all over the world and many different educational systems, class sizes are kept small (max. 22 students) to allow teachers to better meet the needs of a wide range of abilities within the classroom. The policy of IPSAlmere is to place students according to their age.
