Working at International Primary School Almere in The Netherlands entails joining a team who shares the following mission and vision:
We inspire a passion for learning and empower children to develop to their full potential.
As a team we create an enjoyable and motivating environment where everyone is able to learn. We share practices, learn from each other, have clear communication and high expectations. We believe that International Mindedness is central to our school. We celebrate this by learning about, respecting and understanding a broad variety of cultures. This is achieved through the guidance of teachers who are equipped with cultural knowledge and sensitivity. Our school community is passionate about learning and developing students’ talents.
When joining our school to teach gym or another ASG school, you join the ‘vakgroep’ of ASG which shares the following mission and vision:
All learners will have a positive experience in moving at their own level. All students are allowed to move in a learning and challenging environment. This results in long-life happy movement and exercise. Our lessons are focused on the ‘basisdocument bewegingonderwijs’. Based on the foundational motor skills. During the classes we divide students into small groups where they also learn to be independent and have opportunities to cooperate with one another.
All ASG schools have a qualified PE teacher. By sharing our knowledge in a team (Vakgroep Almere with 40 physical education colleagues) we have the opportunity to continue to develop as a physical education teacher.
You are:
An innovative and creative physical education teacher who is passionate about learning.
Able to contribute to a close school community and work as part of two dynamic and hardworking teams.
Flexible and open to new ideas.
Knowledgeable and experienced in working with students with varied cultural backgrounds and varied educational needs.
